Selected Industry Writing

My writing inspires thought and action. I work with organizations that aim to make a difference, and I deliver the proposals and content that allow your team to focus on improving our lives.

As the lead writer on a community development project, I collaborated with a team of consultants to create this report for the Soul Players of the Valley, a coalition of Latino grassroots leaders, and their partnering nonprofit, the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado. This narrative report is a multi-channel piece of collateral that 1) drives new partnerships with potential funders and collaborators 2) satisfies state grant requirements and 3) advocates for equitable and culturally-responsive funding policies at the state level.

As a volunteer writer for History Colorado, a state humanities nonprofit, I contributed newsletter articles on timely events, cultural happenings, programs, and staff interviews. This article introduces readers to the fascinating history behind the Juneteenth celebrations in Denver’s African-American community of Five Points.

I created a successful Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity (DEI) initiative for one of my healthcare clients to increase the number of LGBTQ seniors they serve. This is an advocacy piece I wrote for their content campaign aimed at LGBTQ seniors, their caregivers, and loved ones.

As the founder and current VP of Communications for the Lydia Maria Child Society (LMCS), I edit and design our annual newsletter. The LMCS is a not-for-profit organization that honors the legacy of a great American author and activist. We support the pursuit of social justice through scholarship, teaching, the public humanities, the arts, and community work.
